Photogrammetry creates accurate measured surveys from aerial photographs. We survey a range of subjects from small monuments to the largest and most complex industrial buildings, country houses and castles. The level of detail can be tailored to deliver the information you need - for condition surveys, roof repairs or more complex planning applications.
Ground-based hand-held LiDAR scanning offers a quick, reliable and accurate way of surveying building interiors and details. This data can be combined with photogrammetry to produce comprehensive 3D models of the interiors and exteriors of complex structures.
We take our survey data and generate fully textured, dimensionally accurate and georeferenced 3D models. These provide an extremely accurate and engaging interactive representations of your building or site as it is today. From these we can create landscape models and orthographic images (scaled images with no distortion or perspective) to be used as the basis for project proposals.
Our orthographic images can be used as the basis for detailed 2D elevations, plans and sections. We supplement external aerial photogrammetry with hand-held LiDAR to provide a complete package of interior and exterior survey. Our accurate measured drawings can be produced quickly to support project design and planning applications. Output in a range of formats, including CAD-compatible DXF vector files.
High-level aerial drone photogrammetry can create detailed maps of extensive areas. We can produce a range of different maps using isometric and orthographic projections to show natural and heritage features. These can be produced as digital terrain models, contour maps and 3D models.
Data collection will include detailed photographic images and video footage. This can provide instant identification of areas that require particular attention, and more detail about specific areas of the building or monument. We can also generate an infinite number of still images and video animations from our 3D models, and compile footage to create montages for presentation to clients, planners and other stakeholders.
Our 3D models can be used as the basis for a range of visualisation outputs. These can include reconstructions of historic buildings, cut-away images showing room layouts, and illustrations of project proposals. We can also develop landscape-scale visualisations to show impact and setting. We work with a number of digital artists and illustrators to provide bespoke work for your project.
We use GIS to manage a range of geospatial data. Typically this is generated during field survey or desk-based assessment, and can be used in conjunction with third-party data such as Environment Agency LiDAR. All of our building and landscape surveys are georeferenced using ground control points. We can also develop bespoke GIS-based solutions for heritage data management.
